Well, the 'lessos' take around 1 hour each, but there's a 15 minutes break in
that time. Also, usually on subject take 2 hours in a row.
As for projects, yes, you usually have few weeks to make tham. Sometimes it's
one project per semester (but rarely), but moostly its around tree from one
subject per semester (though my major is the type when projects are important
and Drak for example studies administration and he doesn't have any projects to
make at all!).
As for studying, that actually depends. in Poland there are three types of
'lessons'; one that the professor only talks and explains everything (in most
cases you don't have to attend those, but there's a test at the end), one you do
excersises on them (for example maths is both, one were the professor explains
the metods of solving problems and the other are excersises on which you do your
own examples... hope I wrote it in the way you understood... sorry, guess I'm
not that good in explaining in english) and the last type of 'lessons' are
laboratories and in this case you have to study for every lesson, otherwise you
won't be able to attend the next... in this case, skipping even one lesson is a
tragedy, believe me.
And that's pretty much it. Except laboratories, you don't have to study till the
end of the semester, when there's a test from every (or almost every) subject.
But I advise you study at least for few subjects, because if you decide to wait
with it until the end of the semester, passing all the exams will be a horror (I
did that on my first year and barely make it to the second).
Hope you understood my explanation (sorry its a little bad... my english isn't
to good).

Oh, you misunderstood a bit. I'm after 3 years of collage and still have 2 to go
(at least I hope I'll be able to attend those, two years ).
As for the tips: sure, what exacly would you like to know? It's rather hard to
speak about collage in whole, but if that'd be needed, I can try (I mean, I gave
some tips to Drak, so I am a little expiriance ).
Oh, and just to warn you, I'll be away for two weeks or so soon (in about 5 days
to be exact), so if you need quick answers, it'd be better if you'd note me
rather soon. Don't hurry to much though, coz I'll check my GB when I get
